Spanco's Workstation Jib Crane is an economical alternative to a workstation bridge crane when only a small area requires coverage. Enclosed Track Workstation Jib cranes are a low cost, easier mounted alternative to the I-beam jib cranes when the jib crane is used for light duty applications. Workstation jib cranes can provide economic, supplemental lifting coverage under an existing overhead crane. Workstation jib cranes are available in three styles:
- Free Standing Workstation Jib Crane
- 100 - 1,000 lbs. capacity
- Standard spans up to 16'
- Standard under boom heights to 12'
- 360º rotation
- Utilizes square or hexagonal base plate mounting
- Wall Cantilever Workstation Jib Crane
- 100 - 1,000 lbs. capacity
- Standard spans up to 16'
- 200º rotation
- Wall or column mounted
- Shim stock up to 7/32" ensures jib alignment through pivot axis
- Tie Rod Supported Jib Crane
- Economical
- For lighter capacities
Features
Enclosed track workstation jib cranes are designed for:
· Light duty applications
· Capacities vary to 11,000 lbs.
· Spans reach 16'
Circular coverage workstation jib crane offers:
· Easy, ergonomic movement for applications requiring repetitive lifting and transferring of loads
· Pushing up to 1,000 lbs. load but experience force of approx. 10 lbs. to begin moving the load and 8 lbs. to continue moving the load (100 to 1 ratio).
· 200º to 360º of rotation.
· Force of approximately 10 lbs. Manual crane operates more quickly than a motorized crane.
Truss design requires minimal overhead installation clearance. A retaining pin inserted through the main pivot shaft reinforces resistance against upward dislodgement of the boom assembly.
Customization
SPANCO now offers portable bases for enclosed track jib cranes. These bases are easily moved with a forklift so the crane can be located at any convenient location on the factory floor. Three different base weights are used depending on the size and capacity of the crane. SPANCO selects the enclosed track workstation jib crane base to prevent tipping and to keep shipping costs to a minimum
Design Factor
The maximum weight of the application should match, NOT exceed, the workstation jib crane design weight. The capacity rating is based on a design load which includes the capacity rating of the crane plus 15% of the capacity for the weight of the host and trolley. The SPANCO design criteria for workstation jib cranes allows the least amounts of lifting deflection so as not to hamper the performance of the enclosed track jib crane.
